TravelPDF Privacy Policy

TravelPDF is built to keep your data on your device. This policy explains the little that leaves it, and why. It describes the TravelPDF iOS app and nothing else.

What we store, and where

On your device only: your trips, journals and journal pages, stickers and drawings, photos, boarding-pass images, packing lists, saved bookings, preferences (theme, accent, home airport, currency), and the name and email you type into Settings.

That data lives in two places inside the app's own sandbox: small values and settings in UserDefaults, and photos, boarding-pass images and exported PDFs as files in the app's Documents directory. There are no accounts and no TravelPDF server, so we cannot see any of it. Deleting the app, or using Settings → Privacy → Clear All Data, erases it.

Name and email: used to prefill hotel bookings and to sign your journal cover. They are stored on your device and are only transmitted when you place a hotel booking (see below).

What leaves your device

Hotel search and booking — liteAPI (Nuitee Ltd). When you search hotels, your search terms, dates, and chosen currency are sent to liteAPI to return live prices. When you book, your name and email are sent to complete the reservation, and payment is processed by liteAPI's secure payment page (with Apple Pay support). Flight prices — Travelpayouts (Go Travel Un Limited). Flight searches send the route, dates, and currency — nothing about you — and return live fares. Booking a flight opens the airline or agency's own site, and TravelPDF may earn an affiliate commission at no cost to you.

Apple services. Place and map search uses Apple Maps (MapKit), which sends what you type and the map region being viewed to Apple under Apple's own privacy policy. Subscriptions are purchased through Apple's StoreKit; Apple processes the payment and we never see payment details. If your device is set to share diagnostics with developers, Apple's MetricKit may deliver anonymous crash and hang reports, which the app writes to a file in its own Documents folder and never uploads.

Images. Destination and guide photography is loaded from a third-party image CDN (Unsplash), which receives the standard request information (such as your IP address) that loading any image carries.

What we don't do

• No accounts. No passwords. Nothing to breach.
• No analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, no ad tracking, no trackers.
• No selling, renting, or sharing of personal data.
• No location permission: the app never asks for or uses your device location.
• No data collection from children; TravelPDF is a general-audience app.

Photos

Photos and boarding-pass screenshots you add to a journal are copied into the app's private Documents folder on your device and appear only in your journals and the PDFs you export. Exported PDFs contain whatever you put in them; share them as you choose.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app schedules a local reminder for your trip. It is scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. No push server is involved and nothing is sent anywhere.

Your choices

- Clear everything: Settings → Privacy → Clear All Data. - Subscriptions: managed and cancelled through your Apple ID settings. - Booking data: hotel reservations exist with the hotel/liteAPI like any booking; contact us and we'll help with cancellation requests.
